What is Mathematics?
Mathematics in our school is mainly about numbers, quantities, shapes, and the relationships between them. It's main purpose is to help student to learn a lot of skills like calculation skills. Math 8 started will some basic calculation topics like addition (6-8) and multiplication (7-8) to more harder topics in Grade 9 such as Fractions (7-9), Decimals (8), percentages (8-9) , and Algebra I (9).

Mathemtics 10: Course Outline
This course at R.C. Palmer follow the British Columbia Ministry of Education curriculum. Our school have standard Mathematics courses (foundational Math 10 or Workplace Math 10) as well as the advanced Incentive Math 10. Based on the general BC Grade 10 curriculum, key topics typically covered include Algebra and Number (polynomials, factoring, real numbers, rational exponents), Measurement (surface area and volume, linear measurement, proportional reasoning), Trigonometry (primary trigonometric ratios), and Relations and Functions.
