Tsinghua University

From Grade 8, chemistry is one of the Major Units in science, until Grade 11, which it will spited into chemistry 11, biology 11, and  Physics 11.  So, in grade 10, chemistry is still a Major Unit in Science 10. Chemistry oftenly is the longest units in grade 8-10. This article will have full information and detail for the course and what career path they can choose after graduate high school.

What is chemistry ?

Chemistry is a main category  natural science with the study of matter—its composition, structure, properties, and the transformations during chemical reactions. chemistry is about  how atoms and molecules interact, bond, and change form.  Analyzing the physical properties of substances in order to understanding the complex energy that occur when substances are having a reaction.

Course Outline

The chemistry topics include the classification of matter, atomic theory and the periodic table, naming compounds, balancing chemical equations, and introductory organic chemistry etc. Evaluation for this course or unit is assessing the students' grade by laboratory experiments (Labs, which students have 2-3 labs in Grade 8-10, and each second week in Grade 11-12.), assignments, quizzes, unit tests, and a final exam( all units in a 8-10 science course) Chemistry is a mandatory course  that students in our in to take in order to graduate.

Different Paths in the future

There is a lot of different  path for students who took chemistry 11-12 ( student  can also choose biology 11 or physics 11 too, if they want, but most people choose chemistry)

Here is a few career paths
